Maximum Flux Coil

Maximum Flux Coil

Category : physics

Product Detail

The Maximum Flux Coil is an elementary apparatus used in electromagnetism to demonstrate the core principles of Faraday's Law of Induction and the creation of an electromagnet. It is specifically designed to achieve a high density of magnetic field lines (magnetic flux) through its core, maximizing the induced electromotive force (EMF) for a given rate of flux change.

  • Primary Function: Primarily utilized to demonstrate the effect of electromagnetism, specifically the relationship between current and magnetic field strength, and to produce a strong induced current (or EMF) when the magnetic flux linked with it changes.

  • Construction:

    • Consists of a winding of insulated copper wire, typically 200 turns, formed into a compact coil.

    • The internal diameter is usually about 45mm, optimized for insertion of permanent magnets or for use as a primary coil over a secondary winding.
